Overview

The role supports the EMEA ISD Biz Apps Leadership team in the following core functions Business Support, Business and Operations Analytics and Small Program Management. The role requires a strong understanding of our tools and processes, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to communicate with managers effectively across a wide range of business data and insight. Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) helps customers transform the potential value of Microsoft cloud technologies into realized value for their businesses, people, and end customers. The Business Applications Domain is part of the Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) organization. We help customers architect and implement Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Customer Engagement, Power Platform, Azure and Microsoft365 solutions within their business.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Management & Support:

  • Prepare the Monthly Portfolio Review.
  • Execute required reporting and content generation.
  • Track actions & decisions and publish minutes.
  • Partner with Delivery leaders and Backlog Management Working Group.
  • Own and drive regular review of forecast hygiene.
  • Proactively identify trends and issues.
  • Partner with support groups and management to resolve.
  • Maintain Monthly Backlog Risk Management Reporting and Insights.

Business Reviews and Health:

  • Review cadence of business reviews and key events.
  • Work with Executive Administrator and Business Manager to resolve/mitigate gaps or conflicts.
  • Prepare and publish business review presentations.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and support in operational reviews.

Operational Data Management:

  • Maintain headcount data in trackers.
  • Regularly review headcount data for accuracy.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding of resources.
  • Track billable work and maintain timekeeping compliance.

Program Management:

  • Manage Annual Computer Refresh.
  • Maintain Domain Business Guide content.
  • Plan and manage small initiatives/projects as needed.

All-Hands / Newsletters:

  • Support preparation for monthly Organization All-Hands meeting.

Lead preparation of the monthly newsletter.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO) and/or working with project and portfolio financials and health metrics.
  • Previous 3-5 years of business operations experience in a large organization.
  • Numerate, with the ability to manipulate and summarize information from complex data sets.
  • Extremely well organized, excellent planning and prioritizing ability by being reactive/pro-active.
  • Logic and objective thinker, attention to detail, problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to build effective cross-group working relationships and work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization. Leverages supporting functions and resources to accelerate deliverables and overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to accommodate varying work styles and perspectives of diverse individuals and groups.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet committed deadlines, and ensure others deliver what is expected on time. Works calmly and confidently with a "can-do" attitude. Able to take effective action without having to know the total picture but seeking the appropriate knowledge required and escalating as required.
  • Technical/Functional Skills:
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
    • Advanced Excel skills including functions, formulas, and pivot tables.
    • Understanding of databases, data cubes, and previous experience using reporting dashboards preferable.
  • Ability to learn/adopt new technologies and applications.
